Dude, Get some sleep!! You gotta get to Mass in 4 hours, what's the deal, your FEC on sheep counting outta whack or what? Speaking of castings, I went to this totally kuhl place today. White River Falls State Park. Yup, up past Maupin, out of Tygh Valley and down a piece toward Sherar's Falls. This was awesome. The falls themselves are a piece of work, reminiscent of a Maxfield Parrish fantasy. And then, on top of that, there's this reliquary of second generation hydroelectric works that was erected in '10 and abandoned somewhere after the BPA obsoleted every other player in the region. It was really awesome, I could have collected and brought home the commutator sheets that were abandoned about '39. They were still hardly rusted in the desicated environment we live in here. But, they weren't art. So they remain where they belong. The works in the station were genuine Pelton, said so right on the castings, do you get my point? This plant was developed the year after the Salmon Creek Dam and hydroelectric works were put into operation in Juneau, AK. At the time, the Salmon Creek project was the state of the art, the ultimate expression of electrical engineering, kinda like where the Three Gorges Dam is today. If I understand the numbers correctly, the Three Gorges Dam will generate about 10,000x KWH what Salmon Creek was capable of. My, my things have changed.

So what has this got to do with the Telecosm and George Gilder? Well, nothing.

But I thought it was way kewl, and kinda fun....

Bye, Ry
