Does anybody think that the WCOM/Sprint merger possibility increases the chances of a broadband deal being done with ATT and AOL? Long distance revenue while decreasing in the last few years for ATT, is still its highest source of revenues.... Wouldn't a formidable combination that could take away more revenue add to an incentive to close a deal that would take the "heat" off of one front? I was too busy to post this question when the news came out, but in light of the Excite rumor, it may be even more relevant now.

PS Does anybody remember if AOL sold off all or part of its holdings in Excite? I seem to remember it having a rather large holding of warrants most of which were sold off after the Excite/AtHome merger, but I am not totally sure. Thanks
