It's almost not an exaggeration to say that health care has become another unfunded federal mandate. It some case, like the COBRA laws mandating emergency treatment of indigent patients, it is an unfunded mandate.

Right now I collect about 48 cents on a dollar 6-8 weeks later, MAYBE! You think I give a ****? I do my best, herd them in and out, and avoid being inconvenienced by after hours call. And I was in the top 10% of my class. This is where medicine is heading.

I'm going to be laughing my head off when the feds start confronting bankruptcy by the only hospitals in communities.

But who would buy THC? Columbia-HCA is too weakened to do it. I would avoid any health care company.

By the way, I did a mixed medicine internship at Harbor General. Do the patients still think Harbogesic-A and Harbogesic-B are stronger than aspirin and tylenol?
