>>>>The increase in authorized shares is bad news for long investors no matter how you slice it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but another possible reason for the share authorization is Iomega would own the threat of using a "poison pill" if a hostile takeover comes along. The automatic dilution of shares would be horrible for long investors at the expense of keeping the present Board and CEO in control. Besides, IOM split way too aggresively last time, and this would only add to the problem<<<<

My opinion :

1. The increase in authourized shares don't effect long investors,it kills shorts instead .

2. If Iomega is such a bad company why would any one want to take it over ?

3. The present board and K.E. has a very good grip on the company and the stockholders should be pleased at the controled growth the company will experience this year and in the future due to the present board and K.E. .

What kind of post was this supposed to be anyway ?

Or am I too optomistic ?
