Is anyone aware of a public statement made by a senior Rambus exec which denies having a major problem with the Camino chipset? I believe Tupriani (? spelling) from Rambus came out after the close Friday. From what I understand he said there are many different configurations of Camino motherboards and only some may have problems. These problems would be almost be imperceptible to the Windows PC user. If these problems needed to be corrected they could easily be corrected with a software fix....no scrapping of chipsets/motherboards.

I can't find the story directly off the news wires but my weekend Schwab team told me the story came out Friday night.

Anyone know anything else? On the surface this statement form Rambus seems like good news to me and this whole "bug fiasco" may very well be overblown.

Regards,

Doug
