I think if a takeover happens, it will happen before the end of this year, most probably before this December. After the IPO early next year, the share price will factor in the Palm share price and will probably be too rich for a takeover. After the Palm share distribution which may happen six months following the IPO, there will not be enough time to do a takeover before the pooling of interests rules change.
