The monitor mentioned in my post Message 11360645 displays in DOS mode only, no w98 or NT. Maybe this new info will trigger some ideas.

Sure try changing your video display driver to a generic 640 x 480 16 color driver and reducing the vertical and horizontal scan rates. Make your changes first when using your PC monitor and then see what happens when you replace your PC monitor with your MAC monitor. My wild guess is that the vertical or horizontal scan rate you are using with your PC monitor are not compatible with your MAC monitor. Your MAC monitor could be slowly deteriorating.
