The court already HAS confirmed the cancellation of the old stock. It will not become EFFECTIVE, however until the resolution of an outstanding shareholders' suit (which has been basically settled...but must go through technical resolution in the court.) Note that this shareholders' suit will have no value to the current GBFE stock (it relates to people who held the stock during a specific prior period...so if you are a long-time shareholder you may be eligible for something from this!!) As for the TOPRs...I have no genuine opinion. If you formerly held GBFE I would look at the TOPRs as one of 20,000 different opportunities for investing your money and not be emotionally attached to trying to get something back from GBFE!! From my perspective, while some of the financial sins of the past will have been mitigated, I see the same basic management team in place and thus would not be an investor. In terms of arbitrage opportunity...leave that to the big$$ pros.
