First of all, Niles is talking not about "soft" demand but "softer than expected demand." His current forecast, if my memory serves me right, is 28-29 Mu which represents a healthy unit growth for Intel.

Secondly, when you accuse some one "needs to get his examined" for his opinion you should at least have to state what your alternative opinion is.

IMHO, this dialog was a total waste of bandwidth.

P.S.: I have no opinion one way or the other if Niles is right or wrong. I do not have sufficient information. If anyone has any useful information (as against speculation), I am all ears.
