Well Justin I'm just starting on this, but TV Guide has a 90% market share in all DIGITAL IPG's deployed to date. 1.5 M with 6K per day growth.(there may be digital & analog #'s to sort out) 5/13/99 M$ft invests 5 Billion in AT&T in exchange for T agreeing to deploy 7.5 Million set top boxes (no time factor stated). M$ft also has a relationship with GMST TV Guide has existing relationships with 2200 cable operators WWW. tvguide.com 37 million page views @ 18 min. per view And Gemstar feels it owns the patents But the real killer is that TVGIA has a p/e of 106 and was up 15% fri. on the same analyst reports that drove GMST Its a very long and convoluted story and I've only just skimmed it, looks like quite a read though.
