Under the seven-year agreement disclosed on March 4, IBM said it would supply Dell with a range of key computer components for its machines including disk drives, chips, network attachments and monitors. Further details on the extension of the pact, to be announced at a press conference at 10:00 a.m. (1400 GMT) in New York Monday, were not immediately available. In March, the deal between IBM, the world's largest computer maker, with Dell, the fastest-growing company in the business, was touted as the largest supply deal ever seen in the industry. At the time, officials of the two companies said the pact was only the "beginning" of a close partnership that could lead to further supply arrangements.
