Speaking of Maria, could the producers be so kind as to inform her of the difference between "oil service companies" and independent o&g cos.? This morning, she gets on with her pre-market call, says that a firm (think it was PW) just upgraded "several oil service firms based on valuation." She then reads excerpts from the analyst's report and starts rattling off names of independents: "Apache, Enron Oil & Gas..." etc. Big difference btwn oil & gas cos and oilfield service. Guess she needs a fact-checker.
