hi Ken;

yes, CSCC is loosely pegged to ASND (like USRX to COMS or MCIC to BTY) now. However, i don't know what kind of formula the MM or buying/selling progmans are using. So far, it seems to be like CSCC = (ASND * 0.7) - ($2 plus or minus 25%.) This leads me to think that the street seems to expect the deal to consummate (as the differential is not that far apart.)

after the initial dampening reaction from Cowen&Co, it seems that the street now thinks it is a good deal. Also, CSCC has already pre-announced its earning (unless it fails to even achieve .14 to .15,) so you are right that the ball in in ASND's court. It is also known that ASND has a 80% backlog, which means that it is at least not slowing down.

That said, maybe I have been spooked by so many earning disappointments and hyper-devaluation of my holdings, I think we can use some caution for our point of entry (or increasing our position.) Last Friday was a great day for all the networkers, but these days, there is no guarantee. I think the street is suffering from an case of extreme manic-depressive illness! Does anyone have some prozac to spare? :-)

regards

Bosco
