Def, it's the dollar/euro rate that needs to be watched imo. the Yen is old news, so to speak. the biggest losing streak this year in the broad market from the July high to the August low coincided with the biggest rally the Euro had this year. it's predominantly European institutional investors that have been propping up U.S. equities in '99. if and when they go, the market goes as well.
