Here's the latest from my bar-room buddy...he's starting really early today. I could barely understand him, he was slurring so badly! Cal Canal is currently drilling at around 13,760 feet. They are going slowly and carefully and have about 70 feet to go to the Temblor top. This should take about a day. I know nothing about gas readings yet. ELH #1 did attempt production testing late last week, but a faulty packer forced them to stop. They are currently waiting for a larger packer before continuing. They apparently got the flare permit last week. I was told that production testing will recommence in a week or so. Happy trading. S&P PS: A packer is a flexible device that is run down inside the casing (or open hole) and is used to temporarily block the wellbore. Packers are typically run in pairs and allow us to isolate small intervals which can then be tested.
