Mark,
Here is a brief update from earlier today from UMC on the earthquake:
umcgroup.com

A quick summary: They suffered less damage than initially feared.

I'm coming to believe the optimistic scenario, that the quake won't have long term repercussions. Doesn't mean that there won't be short term ups and downs, and it could always be the case that the power supply infrastructure in the area was damaged worse than we know or worse than the Taiwanese powers-that-be are letting on, but I am, as I said above, becoming cautiously optimistic.

There are still plenty of other worries about techland, though, that keep me in cash, waiting for bargains more closely resembling last October. My fingers are itchy, but so far, I've been able to mostly hold off on buying.
