covered call write is a mildly bullish position. any time you increase your return on the underlying in your portfolio, it can only be deemed bullish....put write is a bullish to very bullish position..... the timing of entry, and the strike price determine how bullish you are.....

i tend to disagree with you that the odds are with the call and put buyer....such a conclusion violates the very nature of options transactions...if you always win on the buy side, you should bottle your talent and sell it to the highest bidder, as it is a rarity...conversely the seller does win, without the need for blind luck in the equation!
