From briefing.com 11:56 ET Excite@Home (ATHM) 38 3/8 +2 13/32: --Update-- Rumors suggest that America Online (AOL +3 1/16) would become the default interface for AtHome users with no charge to AtHome users; AOL would get either all, or a cut of, advertising revenues. Source of rumors is unclear, but details of deal make sense for companies involved: AOL would get a broadband strategy, while ATHM would get out of the content business (which is what AT&T wants them to do) and focus on broadband connectivity.
