Sounds great! Now, in this neck of the woods, on I clear day I might sit on a dock by one of the rivers, and be served oysters on the half shell, steamed clams, and soft- shelled crabs. I am very good at disassembling steamed crabs (no mallet needed!), but I finally decided the cost/benefit ratio was not good enough....I might go to my favorite deli (in Silver Spring, near jbe), and share a platter of lox, whitefish, and sable with my wife (generally preceded by some chopped liver and matzoh ball soup, shared)...I usually eat calamari when going to an Italian restaurant, as one appetizer...In a fancy restaurant, I often get escargot or smoked bluefish...But only rarely to I actually eat a non- smoked fin fish. (My wife orders it more frequently, and sometimes I take a bite). Your version of fried trout sounds very good, though! |
