Bill Murphy had persisted in referring to Goldman Sachs as Hannibal Lechter, which I found awkward and imprecise, because I couldn't tell exactly to whom he was referring: Howard Rubin, the partners, or even Alan Greenspan and other investment banks.

If his allegations were true, that they were the leaders of the purported gold short cabal, I found it notable that CNBC reported today that GS had just listed (some) gold producers as "trading buys." I think that was the category mentioned, which suggests to me that Goldman may have completed their short program, and are now ready to run gold up.
