PAL: ICGE is overrated IMO, but yes, about 25% of CMGI's companies are already B2B. CMGI is increasing that to 40%. CMGIsolutions will be one hell of a B2B company, developing Enterprise and ISP portals, etc utilizing CMGI sites and technology. I believe there is a lot more involved w/ it as well because we haven't heard much about it as we should have. Intelligent/Digital sounds very intriguing. We have BizBuyer.com, NaviSite, NaviNet, SpeechMachines, etc., etc. already. I have a big problem w/ this $1.3 trillion Goldman Sachs crap though. Why? Because WHO is going to receive that $1.3 trillion?? Certainly not these overhyped B2B hubs. What company would give them a piece of their revenue?? DELL, and other actual service & e-commerce BUSINESSES will; not these damn business communities. Even Harmon pointed out that VERT simply hasn't performed as they are hyped to. Besides, they are merely an information portal... sort of like a trade magazine. Which receives more revenue, trade magazines or entertainment magazines?? I see the Enterprise hub/portals being developed by CMGIsolutions as more realistic. ICGE should be 1/3 or less the mkt cap of CMGI IMHO. People just throw that $1.3 trillion # into the mix and pretend that ICGE's companies will be getting much of that. NOT! If you want to play that #, buy CPQ, not VERT or ICGE. CMGI is making the proper moves w/ Intelligent/Digital, 1ClickCharge, CMGIsolutions, etc., etc... we are feeding this B2B growth and making communities where the most demand is: C2C and B2C. Funny nobody talks about C2C... EBAY, GCTY, RagingBull, etc have already proven the beauty of that concept. Viral-licious! :-) iCast will knock even those successes out of the water. Later, - Zen |
