I love Palestrina. I like Bach very much.

Apart from errands, I had a lazy weekend.

I listened to three lovely classical CDs though:

a choral work by Johannes Ockehem (1425-1497), recorded by The Tallis Scholars to commemorate Ockeghem's death. (I've never heard of him). The director was Peter Phillips. The label is Gimell.

.a choral by Vivaldi,(1678-1741) entitled "Gloria". Evidently, the soprano sings the work in the wrong key. But I never notice. I think it's pretty so I play it often. Recorded on the Erato label.

. an instrumental CD entitled, "Italian Concerti Grossi." Among the featured artists are Vivaldi, Corelli, Scarlatti. I love them all.

And my husband is amazed that I can switch from classical to Beau Jocque and his High Rollers at the flip of a coin. (VBG)

Is your weather nice? Were you and your family able to get out and about over the weekend.

PS: electronic keyboards that you hook up to your PC need not be expensive, although I don't know what the prices are like these days.
