Yeah Lizzie that was certainly a horrid trade for me...I know you can make more shorting than longing (ha ha) but I think that sticking to stocks not quite so in the news makes more sense. Nevertheless had I covered at 87 and bought the stock back at 93 or so when the trend had obviously shifted, I would not have lost all that money. Oh well, live and learn. I still do a lot of emotional reacting, and dont change directions quickly. The market on the other hand changes directions very quickly!!!!!!
I'm not doing as bad as some, or as good as others I guess..cant quite stay home from working for someone else yet but someday I'll be able to.
By the way, look at stockgeneration.com. a "virtual stockmarket" that has actual returns. (If you join, put me down as reference and let me know)....Just try getting the free $50 and filling out the survey and send them another couple of hundred..its worth the risk. if it goes on another few years the possibilities are amazing.
Is AOL on its way now?
Who knows.
I still expect a correction...have a few short term companies that I hope to make money with and then will be just about clear of margin.
