You said it, SHGLaw -- When last quarter fell a few cents short we got hammered ... the ever-sneering Joe Kernan delivers the bad news with poorly concealed relish. And, oh, the doomsayers on this thread, bleating "earnings matter, earnings matter, earnings matter." Now I suppose all we'll hear is how earnings don't matter. I guess the lesson is that earnings don't matter as long as they exceed whatever poorly conceived earnings estimates that are out there. Some day, the market will allow us to keep our hard-won gains. Tomorrow would be a good place to start.
