I have NEVER had my stock called away prior to expiration due to covered call writing.

I have often had shares "put" to me prior to expiration due to naked put selling.

You would think that the same calculations and insights go into all these positions and that people would act accordingly no matter what side of the trade they are on, but experience does not seem to indicate that.
