Hi all,

Anybody have any thoughts on the UV system described in this link:
uvta.com.au

Instead of passing the water directly over lamps housed in quartz sleeves, it routes the water through plastic (?) tubes and keeps the lamps dry. Any engineers out there with an opinion? Wouldn't the plastic tubes block a very substantial portion of the UV light from ever reaching the water? Plastic is a great UV filter, after all, something like 90% effective.
