So, for whoever cares..I left Seattle Thursday afternoon and met my hiking partners Thursday night. Checked my e-mail and SI Friday morning from the Motel before we moved out. Posted two assurances that Intel and Rambus would solve the obvious FUD attack. Got back Saturday night to 200+ messages. In my mind I "went hiking Thursday". Whatever.. What really shook me, and why I was speechless, was the fact that in paging through 200 messages I couldn't find any defense from Intel/Rambus on the action which had taken away a huge chunk of my portfolio's value. Heck, when I went off like a babe in the woods (pun intended) I assumed tht no company as strong and smart as Intel would let something like this happen without damage control. Boy, was I wrong. Never felt more out of touch with the realities of investing. I could still use a little handholding from Intel/Rambus on this whole mess. Heck, I wish I had stayed in the woods. At least if I was still in the high country I couldn't hear my friend Don's gloating.
