Your "checks and balances" approach to voting makes some sense. However, I mainly lean republican because I dislike about 67% of them. I dislike 99% of democrats. Legislative gridlock is a very healthy thing for this country when you consider that 90% of bills passed have spending measures attached. Anyone who touts how many bills he got passed last year as an accomplishment gets a vote for his opponent from me.

And I disagree that republicans went into scandal chasing last year. This White House serves up a scandal a week, no chasing required.
