The Saints and Panthers are probably in the West race as well.

I thought that in the first matchup of Saints versus 49ers, the Saints were physically tougher. Williams really picked up a head of steam, much like Watters did in Chicago in the 2nd half for Seattle that same day. Hobert showed some ability, but when it came down to the end of the game, you've got to figure that's the first time he's ever been in that position - trying to close a BIG game in the pros. My pick for AZ tonight is based on the way the Saints "outphysicalled" the 'Niners last week.

I figure if Plummer doesn't get INT-happy there's no way the 49ers win. Without a ground game Young's a sitting duck. When I heard the Cards have a better front 7 than the Saints, it made me think Young is going to be in for a long night.

Does anyone remember the monday night game in NO where the blitzing Saints crushed Montana all night and lost it at the end when Mora's defensive coordinator put them in a prevent?

Let's hope the Cards don't make the same mistake if tonight's game plays out the same way.

The Chiefs are making themselves very difficult in the AFC West. They appear to be very solid under the detail-oriented Cunningham. This Raiders-Seahawks game is the first power matchup in the new landscape - Denver out of the picture for the moment at least - of the AFC West

The keys here are the offenses. Which offense makes fewer mistakes, and who wins the special teams battle? These defenses are both very tough. Can the 'Hawks get to Gannon in a big way? I think that's a key? Can Watters get 4.0 yards per carry? That 3-yard stuff is brutal <g>.

FWIW
