The new Zuma Router seems to fit between Linux Router and Aranea in power and market. I think Linux router is targeted at mid size Enterprises and CLECs/ISPs. Zuma at larger enterprises and Intranets and Aranea at core carriers and Extranets. Looking at the feature here I think this box has to price close to seven figures.

We now have 5 products with 6 or 7 figure price tags: That is a long way from one year ago when we had none. Low end niche vendor of Ethernet switches no more.

OSR8040 Linux Router
Red-C
Zuma
NAC MetroFusion
CW Aranea

In my next post, I will examine the revenue and earnings potential of the first three products. I will ignore MetroFusion and Aranea because we don't know the exact equity ownership here.
