Mike, lets separate hope from hype. Since you own a block of shares, certainly you "hope" they will rise. We all share (pun intended) the same "hope."

As far as "hype" is concerned, the many articles, comments, ideas, and yes, criticisms (there are many) are quite valuable to us "guppies" as well as the larger fish that are found swimming in this pond from time to time.

There is exuberance found in a lot of posts, but are they irrational? Corel has quality products, high visibiltiy, and a great potential for earnings in the near future. The fact is that all of us are trying to predict the future. Learning everything we can about Corel, its strategies, its products, its markets, and its potential for success or failure is what this thread is all about.

If you want to buy stocks solely on P:S ratio's and cashflow in the "present," buy MSFT at $95. If you wish to buy a promising stock on the basis of "value" at US $6.50 and wish to see it rise to $100 in 1998 or whenever, hang on to your shares, and keep reading the "posts." I must be a Corel "bigot" because I find that most posts contain useful information and insightful comments. I appreciate anyone making a contribution to the discussion, even yours!

Up, Up, & Away, (Hope or Hype)

Scott
