I'm not a chartist but I'd like you to look at the 2 year chart of the Nikkei. Looks like a big fat W from July 88 to April 99. Then it looks like its sprouting up, out, and sagging to the right. The W stands out like a sore thumb. The slope into the W and out of it is what intrigues me. Would a chartist suggest we have tripe topped and are enroute to 15,000, 14,000 or even 13,000 (all supports there), or would they suggest the W is pointing to new highs soon (ie. breakout).
