Sitting here watching the first of a four-part PBS special on the Soviet Union called the Red Files, I'm impressed with the links they've supplied. A flash across the screen notes the web link:
pbs.org

and, voila, the doorway to background information.

If I had TV to my PC, I'd be able to shrink it to a corner and do research simultaneously. Even better, with digital TV I'd be able to stop the action and pick it up whenever I wanted.

And in another corner of the screen, have a video conference with anyone watching the show with me.
