That was my other line of thinking -- that you maybe had downloaded it to a root directory and it didn't like that or something but I tested that theory...

The "5,035,494 bytes" is what you see if you click on properties and comes after the size expressed in MB. I thought maybe a slight difference might show up in bytes.

I had an HP scanner driver get finnicky on me and it had to do with the name of one of my drives (I think) which is going to be a "parameter" in the "path" of the file name when Windows uses the file I think.

Glad you figured it out.

Regarding the communication program hanging your computer during installation: maybe you need to shut some other stuff down (virus stuff?). Or maybe you need to not try to install it <g>.
