Assuming you're not joking, Charles, (sorry if I'm being dense here), if it's the guy who was heading up Star Division, that's an extraordinarily bad move. What kind of industry connections does he have? Answer: he's probably never even met anybody who didn't have an open pizza box with a bunch of moldy gnawed crusts in it on the floor next to them. The guy who heads up Sun's software at this extremely critical juncture has to be a player, a thinker, and a politician par excellence, not just a guy who can give away German error messages for free.
