Tim/Jim & thread,

My compliments on the Expo, a good time was had by most everyone attending I'm sure. It was well organized and full of interesting people & content. Somewhat surprisingly to me, there was so much good stuff on the exhibit floor that I spent much of my time there, many times in lengthy discussions with exhibitors (QCharts, Mark of TrendTrader, Pristine people, trader tax people, 'trader LCD' vendors, MBT owners/staff, etc. come to mind) learning quite a bit there while having a good time.

Despite the problems with content/preperation in a good many of the sessions (e.g., agree on the Candlesticks) and the pre-choices-only-with-doorguards format which caused me to miss quite a few I would have liked to have sampled, it was a great weekend. I've ordered a full setup of tapes to review select sessions that I couldn't attend. [BTW if you missed the expo, there's an 800# you can buy a full set of cassettes or CD's from]. The organizers are very personable and with-it guys, it sounds like they're already sorting out a better format and ground rules for the sessions.

I got a chance to visit with Trader Alan (a fun guy and new pal), our capable & ever-Pristine threadmaster Eric (heard you were initiated into the "Pristine Mafia family?:), Oz (definitely "The Man" from Houston and another new pal), Dotty, fftrader ("the fly fisherman"), Alan D., Dan Clark, and a few other new friends I visited with around the Hotel, conference and Saturday evening dinner. Great to meet all of you, and those I've neglected to mention.

I agree with most of the prior summary comments - especially that the over-riding theme was a reasonably sober "how can I avoid losing my shirt while learning this potentially fun but at the same time deadly serious occupation?" which is the right way to look at it. I will post some more detailed comments on things I saw there later, time to rack it with 7 hours to the open Tuesday.

-Steve
