PB, re:<Most 8-way systems use the 2Meg versions, which are evidently unaffected by the bug.> If I were the manufacturer I'd be very leery of this claim, especially if the bug's mechanism is not understood yet. The 2Meg cache chips will put much less traffic on the bus, and maybe that is the only reason the bug hasn't shown up on them yet. Petz
