update LONDON--Freeserve, the United Kingdom's largest Internet service provider, is attracting subscribers at a slower pace because of increasing competition in the market for free Internet access, analysts said.

When it reports first-quarter earnings tomorrow, it is expected to reveal that it added an average of 165,000 users per month for the past two months. That's 20,000 fewer than those added in each of the previous two months. The number of minutes each user spent online is also expected to fall.
