Good points all, andy, you know the business, for sure, but you should see it out here in the People's NDP Republic--we have a book called the Forest Practices Code, you need a wheelbarrow to pack it around, a lawyer/RPF to read it, and a spirit medium to talk to Tommy Douglas to tell you what to do next--and mostly they say go home, you can't do anything here, it's too close to _______ (fill in the blank). But Pallet is more than a producer of pallets, which are at best a low-margin commodity. They are setting up a system to serve pallet-users continent-wide, and on this they will make it or break it. And anyway, all producers are hit by the same rules with the same effect. I do know that if I was them, I'd dump any timber/sawmill holdings and just pick up good deals on lumber shorts, especially with their trucking connections.....It's PalletBanking that appeals to me, a forestry play I would dump (unless it was pure pulp, that is, like HRC).... |
