I heard 6185s had a flash upgrade for a "software glitch" or something like that. Was not implying that it was an ASIC issue, but was rather interested in the prospects for Nok's ASICs in general. While we are on the subject of antennas (protruding or otherwise): it is my understanding that there is a lot more concern in Europe than in the US about possible ill effects of cell phones on the brain...to the point where it is supposedly quite common for people to use hands-free adapters in places like Sweden. If that is the case, what are handset makers doing to address such concerns in the long term? Not a big issue here yet, but there are of course always lawyers looking for work. I bought one of those earphone clips for my 6160. It cost around $40--too expensive, but I suppose that problem could be addressed by a large enough market. Rather, the bigger problem was the frail connector, which I managed to break at the base of the handset in about a week. Any ingenious innovations in the pipeline to solve these types of problems?
