Hi Freeus.

MA is short for moving average. While Metastock (my charting program I bought from Equis... you can search for either on the Web) comes with 7 different types (ways of caluclating it), the one I am referring to here is the simple moving average which is adding, for example, the values from the last 200 days and dividing by 200.

Get yourself over to the TA for Beginners thread and check them out... they have all kinds of interesting discussions about the various indicators and so forth. And, obviously, you are always welcome here.

Regards,

Bill

PS The 200 day MA is especially important for LEAPS buyers as it reliably shows the general trend of the stocks.
