Interesting concepts for next gen data network. I agree with you on basic premises that SANs are just the start of humongous (large and fast) data storage and retrieval megasystems and that growth of data traffic especially from activities such as real time recording of most video events (including broadcast as well as video conference) for multitudinous on-demand playback will produce several years' exponential growth of optically connected routers, servers and storage systems for -- which means continued great growth for CSCO, EMC, the DWDM companies and the like.
