Paljor, your discussion of point of view is very interesting. Public expression of religious beliefs in whatever form they may take, prayer, meditations, signs or indeed the very clothing of the person, make some people uncomfortable. This is not my personal feeling, but then I am not speaking as an educator, employer, or government official.

The "moment of silence" phrase YOU might object to, but being still for a moment could hardly be described as one thing or another. I just think it is curious how hyper-sensitive we can become to favoritism or just how relative our imaginations are when we speak of religion.

I get visited by SDA and LDS quite often and am polite and discuss with them and have found them respectful of my views as I am of theirs. I realize they may have a different agenda than mine, but I refuse to let that be a barrier to our conversations. Perhaps the golden rule works.
