TDMA is not such a horrible thing when used in NETRO's products - as distinguished from use in cell phones (or, so I am told). I will not claim to understand why the situation is different, but I do know that this issue was discussed on the Gilder website, so a search of that forum for notes on TDMA in other applications might be useful to you.
