Scouser, Bio-chip allows one to perform chemistry or bio-chemistry on the surface of a computer chip. It is used in the areas of combinatorial chemistry and functional genomics. It allows a scientist to view possible soultions to disease, DNA issues, etc. For further reading, I suggest you view the background on Affymatrix (AFFX). Combi-Matrix was recently granted a patent that is broader in scope than what these guys do. It is my understanding that Combi-Matrix can do in 1 step what is takes AFFX to do in over 100 steps. However, please review for yourself. Hope this helps. It may be possible that I am not just a dumb investor, ya know.
