I'm just posting here so that this thread doesn't go a full day without a message. So just regard all of this as just "filler".
Did you know that the biggest problem with having a 60 pound puppy is that it doesn't realize it's own size. I mean, my Aunt's dog weighs about 5 pounds and will sit on your lap and just sleep there, gentle as a ... kitten (don't tell her I said the "k" word). Anyway, my 60-lb black lab thinks she can crawl up on my lap the same way...and tries to do it! That dog is heavy, awkward, unbalanced and smells!
Another thing about her is her tendency to want to get everyone around her as dirty (or wet) as she is. We have a little kiddie pool in the backyard that she likes to lay in. Well, today she gets all wet, and then thinks its a big game to get as close as she can to the nearest dry person and shake. And if that's not enough, she'll "tag" you with a big muddy paw, and now you have this footprint on you! Darn dog thinks it's funny, too! Anyway, such is the life of a lab owner, I guess. I'm not even going to mention what she did to my tomato garden!
If only Jack Russell Terriers could retrieve.
