Leicester to commence Shetland Island drilling Leicester Diamond Mines Ltd LCD Shares issued 20,727,805 Sep 28 close $0.30 Tue 28 Sept 99 News Release Mr. Ken Carter reports The company has started drilling on its Loch and Hagdale properties on the island of Unst on Shetland. Drilling will focus on testing the Cliff occurrence where earlier sampling of dump material from old chromite pits returned exceptionally high grades of platinum and palladium. The program will consist of 500 metres of diamond drilling in holes from 25 to 60 metres in depth, and is designed to determine the structural setting and extent of the chromite and platinum-palladium mineralization. It is expected the drilling will take approximately three weeks to complete.
