Competition. cbs.marketwatch.com Conexant Systems (CNXT: news, msgs) drove ahead 3 3/4 to 77 5/8. It will be the lead chip supplier to Cisco Systems' Dynamic Packet Transport family of packet-optimized transport solutions for the Internet infrastructure. "We view the announcement as an important win for Conexant, because it appears they have established themselves as a critical supplier to a key part of Cisco's long-term architecture," said Merrill Lynch analysts Joe Osha and Mark Lipacis in a report
