Bill,

I don't expect anyone to excuse caustic comments from me. They serve no value for anyone. I do try to avoid them most of the time. Sometimes I'm just not anywhere close to successful.

It takes all kinds of investors to make a market. If the TA folk want to take the price down because of a chart formation, sooner or later they'll get it to a price that the fundamentalists just can't resist. Thus I welcome Phil and his followers. ;-)

And Phil may well be much smarter than I am. I think I'm barely smart enough to know when to buy MTSN. Hopefully, somewhere about 3-5 years from now, I'll be smart enough to sell most of my position reasonably close to the peak. Probably not, but it's a nice thought.

The TA folk may actually be much smarter by being able to successfully buy at each interim low, then sell at each interim high along the way.

They get to pay taxes unless they're in a sheltered account. I get to watch my position grow over the years.

And it really doesn't bother me if my portfolio is worth less at 2:45 on Wednesday than it was at 2:39. I only care when I decide to sell or buy something. I guess that last statement is also true for the TA guys. We just work on a different time scale.

Have a good evening,
Ian.
