Running lean

The ancient pickup, stinking like burnt barbecue, crept over the prairie. A drought year made for scarce game. The three poachers faced abandoning their vehicle - here in Granola territory. It was a rotten time for cars that ran on meat. Jed fed his last two Slim Jims into the carnuretor.
